Nakamura is at 8th in the rank of first names in Japan. Third is about my first name. My first name is NOT read Moe! Megumu means a budding into leaf. The reason why my parents named me like this is that I was born in spring so they hoped that I will be happy and healthy and will grow up like plants in spring! In fact my parents wanted to use this kanji for my first name but a city hall official didn’t accept them offer then so my name became like this. Next is about my nicknames. I have three. mucchan, chuuson and Meg. I want to talk about mucchan. When I was a freshman at my high school, I said to a girl, “Nice to meet you I’m Megumu.” and the friend said, “Oh, Megumi! It’s nice to meet you, too.” I said “No, no. My name is MeguMU.” So she said “So your nickname is mucchan, OK?” In this way, I was called mucchan in high school.
